WHO WE ARE
The West African Collaborative (WAC) is a leadership organization consisting of leader representatives from West African communities in the state of Minnesota. While membership is open to all person of West African descent, and anyone can attend a general meeting at any time, each country’s community has one vote on the Board of Directors. Each country chooses their voting representative.
WAC is a 501c3 nonprofit public charity. Our Mission is to organize for collaboration to build and improve capacity to address shared needs and visions for our communities in Minnesota.
WAC currently has 11 countries that are or have been active as members of the organization. WAC recognizes the following 19 countries as West African.
